About Malling Makes

Hi, we’re Maddie and Diana — the makers behind Malling Makes.

What started as a love for making and fixing things has grown into a small creative studio focused on embroidery, clothing alterations, repairs and machine knitwear.

We’ve always preferred fixing and improving things rather than replacing them. Whether it’s altering a garment to fit properly, repairing something well-worn, or adding embroidery to give it a new life, we love helping people get more out of the clothes they already have.

Between us, we combine decades of sewing experience with modern techniques and a practical, problem-solving approach. Diana brings over 40 years of experience in alterations and garment construction, while Maddie focuses on embroidery, custom work, and sewing machine repairs — adding a technical understanding that supports everything we do.

This means we can confidently take on anything from everyday fixes to more complex alterations and bespoke projects.
